Job Description:
Responsible for performing sourcing, procurement, and planning activities related to the Information Technology (IT) purchasing function, related to Hardware, Software, IT Services, IT Labor, and Telecommunications. The selected candidate must have a technical background and project management experience to support the delivery of strategic and tactical objectives for the IT function of the Global Sourcing and Procurement organization. Will perform purchase order entry, validation, changes and match exceptions using Peoplesoft. Responsible for the negotiation, development, execution and fulfillment of contracts established with suppliers. Ensure that all legal contract requirements are met. Determine most desirable suppliers by evaluating supplier financials, quotes and RFx responses. Collaborate with IT Managers on a global basis to establish, communicate and implement business goals and to achieve business targets for cost savings and supplier performance. Operate using fundamental sourcing concepts, practices and procedures. Must rely on extensive experience, industry/commodity knowledge, and judgment to plan and accomplish purchasing goals and objectives.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with related experience required. MS/MBA/CPM/CPIM preferred. Minimum of 5 years procurement/sourcing experience, preferably in Information Technology related services within a multi-plant or multi-divisional business. Experience with complex IT infrastructure, telecommunication, software licensing, and IT services agreements / statements of work required. Proven experience in RFI/RFP/RFQ development, evaluation, negotiations, and contract management a must. Exposure to software and hardware licensing models, and IT-specific terms and conditions related to Statements of Work/Services a plus. Previous experience in carrying out procurement processes in a global business environment. Strategic long-term and short-term thinking, ability to multitask with a sense of urgency. Understanding of legal issues and contractual principles to be used in the review of contracts and agreements. Ability to contribute to and participate on global multi functional teams. Must have proven track record of successfully managing projects, people and resources. Proven capabilities in workload management, multi-tasking, interpersonal communications, problem solving, and innovation. Ability to interface with external and internal resources at all levels is required. Demonstrated hands on supplier management within an FDA regulated businesses, a plus. Experience with Peoplesoft is a plus.
