Job Description:
Candidate will develop strategy for fact-based decision making by means of marketing research, market data analysis and data reviews at decision making platforms. This position will function in the role of internal consultant to provide in-depth strategic analysis to the marketing team. The individual is an integral part of the extended marketing team and will be relied upon as a team member and leader. Position Specifications: .Work with Marketing team to develop and forecast the Annual Marketing and Strategic Plan by providing insights on market, products and competitive environment. .Responsible for leading the collection and interpretation of primary and secondary research and will provide strategic recommendations on the direction of current and future products .Develop process to provide information and intelligence to drive critical business decisions .Responsible for managing market research studies/projects from inception to completion including, but not limited to, identifying the most appropriate market research firm for each study, designing the studies, assisting with the development of the market research tools needed, analyzing and interpreting the data, making recommendations and presenting the findings to the appropriate personnel .Identify and recommend appropriate marketing research studies needed to support the successful launch and steady state needs of the proprietary products .Plan, execute, analyze and report on marketing research findings .Utilize business knowledge, analytics and research findings to influence marketing strategy and objectives . Collaborate with other functional colleagues to generate greater insights and knowledge of the business and brand performance and communicate these learning's to business partners and the organization. . Utilize secondary research methods and industry resources (i.e. IMS, syndicated reports, web-sites, Redbook, etc.) to provide competitive intelligence, ad hoc information etc. Must know which resources to turn to and understand the caveats associated with them

Qualifications
.MBA or MA/MS in science/social sciences, strongly preferred. .International research experience a plus. .Minimum 7-10 years experience in Market Research essential, preferably client side and agency side (vendor management) in the pharmaceutical industry. .Proficient analytical skills and software applications experience aimed at data analysis required. .Excellent communication (presentation/written) and project management skills a must. .Proficiency in secondary data analysis using industry sales/usage databases. Must be knowledgeable of all other available industry databases in terms of: relevance to our products, collection methodology, sampling, coverage, etc. .Understanding of marketing in the pharmaceutical industry and how market research is used in product commercialization and lifecycle management. .Must have market research experience in all stages of product life cycle (i.e., pre-launch, launch, growth, maturity, decline). .Prefer working knowledge of the therapeutic area and products assigned .Strong analytical, organization and communication skills required. .Fully proficient in software applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc. .Demonstrates strong teamwork by routinely facilitating the exchange of ideas. .Demonstrates ability to manage projects from inception to completion .Demonstrates ability to proactively drive the market research planning for assigned brand teams.
