Job Description:
Conducts chemical and physical tests on in-process and finished products as well as chemical raw materials using qualitative and quantitative techniques. Performs interlab studies and support testing for new product introduction and method/process development. Performs higher level lab functions including instrument calibration, troubleshooting and maintenance, write SOPs, and write and perform analytical validation protocols, perform OOS investigations, track SQC, coordinate lab audits, etc. Assist in supervising the production operation of the laboratory and staff. Job Duties include but are not limited to: Job Duty: Conducts physical and chemical tests on in-process samples. Job Duty: Conducts physical and chemical tests on final product samples. Assist in supervising the production operation of the laboratory and staff. Job Duty: Lab support including LASER activities, raw material testing, calibration and maintenance of lab instruments, method development, etc. Job Duty: Lab support including: writing/reviewing SOPs, validation protocols and reports; coordinate lab audits, data review and disposition, etc. Job Duty: Perform laboratory investigations and write reports.

Qualifications


Education:
. BS/BA in Physical or Life Science with two year experience . AS in Physical or Life Science with five years experience or . HS diploma and ten years equivalent laboratory experience _______________________________________________________________________________________________ Experience: Five years experience as a Chemistry Technician Grade 39 or equivalent preferred. _______________________________________________________________________________________________

Special Skills:
HPLC, FTIR, UV/VIS experience preferred. Knowledge of Chromatography software a plus. Must demonstrate proficiency in technical writing.
